There have been many disappointments and empty promises in my career and when Wade from Vincent + Theo Studios approached me to document my dare to Dream Bridal show, I did not have any expectation. This way I wouldn't be disappointed, but not only Wade did not disappoint me, he honored me with an amazing short video and blog

On Sunday April 22nd, 2012 we held the 2nd annual Dare to Dream Bridal Showcase hosted by the divine Pan Pacific Vancouver Hotel. Even though it was the second year producing the show, I was nervous and had many sleepless nights. I felt my heart was beating faster every minute we got closer to Sunday. Teri Dill the catering manager of Pan Pacific Hotel graciously allowed us to start set up on Saturday. Teri and her team made every effort to make it comfortable and easy as possible. Their beautiful ballroom with the stunning view was the perfect background for our show.
Colin, Ingrid, jay and their team from Upright Décor & Design were there to transform the Ocean View ballroom to the magical and stunning background that it was on Sunday. There are no words to describe how grateful I am to Upright Décor for their generosity, creativity and most of all kindness for being a major force at my show. They have elevated the design, creativity and elegance to a different level in this city. No wedding show is possible without beautiful flowers and that was made possible by the elegant and stunning designs from Tala Florist. They matched the décor with very beautiful arrangements. The generosity and kindness mixed with their talent makes them one of the very best florists in town. I also decided to add a fashion show to this year’s show and there was no doubt in my mind which store I wanted to use. Colleen at Bisou Bridal generously hand selected the best and latest designs for our models to show case. Not only you will find the latest exclusive designer dresses at Bisou Bridal, you will deal with people that know and love what they do. You will walk out of the store with a dress of your dreams and a huge smile from the service you received. Since we had the wedding dresses for the show, we couldn’t ignore the bridesmaids and guests. I had been a guest at one of Wear Else’s fashion show couple of weeks earlier, as I was enjoying their show I was picking dresses that would be perfect for our show. Wear Else generously agreed to dress our models for the fashion show. The dresses were stunning and every bridesmaids dream. Something they can really “wear again & again”. At off course we needed to dress our grooms-to-be, So Brooks Brothers graciously provided some of their very best selections of suits for our handsome model to showcase. Off course we also had to cater to everyone’s sweet tooth and there was NO question who would provide that. Peter owner and the master chef at Ganache Patisserie showcased few of his masterpieces on Sunday. I can honestly say that you feel his passion and art from looking at his cakes and if that is not enough the taste will knock your socks off. If I name everyone that made the show the success that it was, it will be a book. But let me just say to all the “VERY ELITE” vendors that graced our show with their presence, Thank you so much for being a part of the 2nd Annual Dare to Dream Bridal Showcase. Your presence elevated the show and for that I am forever grateful. http://www.somethingborrowed.ca/dare-to-dream-wedding-show.html |
